Reinder Homan is represented in all the major Dutch museum collections. Reinder Homan’s prints celebrate the quiet joys of nature and the landscape of Friesland in the northwest of the Netherlands, where he has his studio.
Born in the north-eastern province of Drenthe, Homan studied at the fine arts academy in nearby Groningen, and then in Maastricht in the very south of the country. In 1990 he won the famous Dutch Graphic Prize.
His work is represented amongst others in the collection of The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam and Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation in Pittsburgh. He has also participated in an artist in residence program at Yaddo in Saratoga Springs, New York.
